trans The trans Bio-Filter™ effluent treatment plant is a bed of organic material that supports hybrid earthworms and microbes to break down solids and convert them into carbon dioxide, water, and nutrients. It utilizes the ability of earthworms and beneficial microbes (transzyme) to reduce contaminants present in the wastewater. This process involves the removal of toxic matter by adsorption and filtration, followed by biological degradation and oxygen supply through natural aeration to the effluent treatment plant.
